A Journey of Learning & Connection

About Me

Hi, I’m Kriszta - an ACA registered counsellor based on the Gold Coast, offering online counselling sessions Australia-wide. I specialise in relationship counselling because, quite simply, I’m obsessed with what makes love last.

My journey into this work wasn’t a straight line and I think that’s part of what makes it so real and human. I was born in Hungary, lived in the USA, spent a few vibrant years in London and eventually found my home here in Australia. Along the way, I worked in advertising, hospitality, hairdressing, and corporate admin - but through every role, one thing stayed constant: my deep curiosity about people. What shapes us? What holds us back? And how do we heal?

That curiosity became personal when, after a few long-term relationships that didn’t work out, I met my now partner. I fell in love in a way that felt different - grounded, joyful and full of possibility. I knew I wanted this relationship to last and I became captivated by the question: What makes a relationship not only survive, but stay fresh, loving and exciting - even after many years?

Now, over a decade later, with two kids, two dogs and plenty of ups and downs behind us, I can say with confidence: it’s possible. It takes effort, intention and a willingness to grow - but it’s absolutely within reach. And that’s what I’m here to help others discover.

I created Equanimous Mind Works as a safe, inclusive space where individuals and couples can slow down, feel truly heard and begin to untangle the patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you’re navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, parting ways with kindness or simply wanting to reconnect - I offer compassionate, evidence-based support tailored to your unique relationship goals.

My approach is person-centred, practical and gently transformative. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1 Training) and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT)- all grounded in the belief that meaningful change is possible when we feel safe, supported and understood.

I hold a Diploma of Counselling and am currently furthering my studies with a focus on relationship counselling.

I currently work exclusively online, making counselling accessible to clients across Australia - from busy parents to remote professionals, from couples in crisis to individuals seeking clarity.

If you’re longing for deeper connection, clearer communication or simply a space to reflect and grow, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Let’s make relationships work - with kindness, courage and care.
