eMedia Worx and EMW Hosting Client Usernames and Passwords - Why so many? |
|||||
There are a few different areas of eMeda Worx and EMW that require you to log in. Depending on what services you have with us, it may become a little confusing if you have all these different passwords and log in details. I will explain a little about the following areas. Domain Management Area - eMedia Worx. If you have registered through eMedia Worx (usually an older client) then you will have to login here to renew you domain, edit the nameservers, or transfer it to a different provider. If you are renewing, just enter the domain and the payment options will follow. If you are managing your domain, you will need to enter your domain and domain password that was emailed to you when registered. We do recommend that you do upgrade your account to the domain management facility at EMW Hosting, so see the information below. If you do decide to migrate your account, see the knowledgebase article on Transferring your Domain Name
. Note: It is very important to log in regularly and keep your account up to date. If you have lost your password, please see the knowledge base article on getting a new domain password. Domain Management Area – EMW Hosting. If you have registered your domain through EMW Hosting (most new customers) then your will be required to manage your domain through this area. You will be required to log in, using the username and password that you supplied when you registered your domain. If you have multiple domains, then you can access them all in the one member area. Again, It is very important to keep these details up to date. If you have lost your password, please see the knowledge base article on getting a new password. Hosting Client Area – EMW Hosting. If you have your hosting through EMW Hosting, then you will need to log in here to update your details, log a support ticket, or renew your hosting. These details will be provided when you first sign up for hosting. Keep these details safe, as they will come in handy whenever you have problems. If you loose your password, try the password reminder tool at the above address. Cpanel Management – Individual Accounts This will be the area that will be able to change all your email accounts, manage your databases, and view your stats. (see the knowledge base articles on these individual areas). When you sign up for hosting, you will be sent a username and password, and this will be what you need to log into your cpanel. If you misplace your username and password, login to your hosting client area and click on the package you are having trouble with. Click the option “welcome email” and scroll to where it gives you your username and password. If this has been changed, then submit a support ticket. Keep Information Updated!! It is very important to keep all these details up to date, especially your current email address. This will mean that you will receive all email notifications on service changes, expiration dates and support replies. Anytime you change email addresses, or get new technical staff, or sell your business, these details will all need to be changed. If you have any queries about these areas, please submit a support ticket. |
