Most email programs have similar settings, but slightly different ways of working.

Please visit our visual flash tutorial section at http://www.emw.net.au/support/tutorials/ and follow the steps for the program you prefer to work with.

Make sure that you have the right settings for the incoming and outgoing mail servers:

Incoming mailserver (POP): mail.yourdomain.com.au
("yourdomain" being the domain name you have registered)

Outgoing mailserver (SMTP): mail.yourISP.com
("yourISP" being your Internet Service Provider. This setting will be less troublesome, and will be the same as the outgoing mailserver for the mail account you use with them. For example - if you use Bigpond Dial-Up, the outgoing mailserver will be mail.bigpond.com and can be found in the setting for your email account user.name@bigpond.com

It is very important to use your full email address as the username. Some programs do not automatically place the full address in the username field, and will deny access to your account. Double check the username field and add your whole address to the field - eg. yourname@yourdomain.com.au
