Unfortunately sometimes things can go wrong with passwords, and by following these steps you should be able to fix your problem pretty quickly yourself.

Step 1: Double check your account settings in your e-mail program. I suggest retyping in your password just to make sure. Test to see this has fixed the problem.

Step 2: If your password still does not work, or if you cannot remember your password you will need to log in to your Web hosting control panel and reset it. You can do this by visiting http://www.yourdomain.com.au/cpanel and entering in the user name and password you received in your welcome e-mail message.

Once you have signed in you will need to click on the "MAIL" tab icon. Do not click on the "Change Password" icon as this will change your Control Panel and FTP password, not your e-mail. After clicking on the "MAIL" tab, you will see a link to "Manage, Add and Remove" e-mail accounts - click on this link.

Locate the e-mail address that is causing problems and click on the change pass link. Once you change the password it will take effect immediately and you will then have to go back into your e-mail program and change the password to its new value.

9 times out of 10 this will fix your problem.

Step 3: If the problem continues you may need to remove your e-mail account from your e-mail program and enter it in again.

To remove an e-mail account from your e-mail program you will generally go to Tools>>Accounts and select the MAIL tab. Click once to highlight your e-mail account and click on the remove button.

We have a number of tutorials that will help you in setting up any of the major e-mail programs at this address http://tutorials.emw.net.au/email-setup/.

Step 4: if your problem still persists you will need to open a support ticket and one of our friendly staff will look into your problem for you.
